To Fold / To Live

Paper is the most flexible artistic medium, and it is also a wonderful metaphor for the deliberate actions that we take to change our lives and the lives of others. Every careful fold leaves a lasting crease; every crease slowly transforms a paper into something beautiful. I observe how paper absorbs creases, folds, and colors. I explore paper as both the vehicle and the subject: The transformer and the transformed.
